Les uses a variety of  Australian and Western Australian timbers.

In addition to the various timbers available there are also characterstics within those varieties that offer various beautiful grains and colours.

Timber characteristics include Birdseye which have "eye like" grains and Lace which has a delicate lacelike grain. The most desirable grains have a "Kurl" which clearly shows the grow pattern of the original tree, and "Spalting" which has bark characteristics.
