Each tree has its own personality and this is reflected in the bowls and platters that Les recreates.  Les' experience tells him which piece is most suitable for the type of bowl or platter he wishes to reveal however the original personality of the living tree always shines through.   

Some bowl shapes and timbers are suitable for salad bowls which makes them functional as well as beautiful if sealed with edible oil to protect them.  Other  shapes and timbers are suitable as decorator items only and should only be used for uncut fruit or as a beautiful display item.
